Foods of Catalonia with The London Chef

Thursday September 30th, 6:30pm-8:30pm

Spanish food is so often described as 'honest cooking' - the best ingredients simply prepared. Although a modern trend of high-end Spanish cooking or nueva cocina has put Spain on the international food map with world renowned restaurants like El Bulli, the day to day food of the typical Spaniard has changed very little over the past few centuries. Catalonia, along the southern Mediterrean coast of Spain is home to some of the world's most incredible foods - fresh fish and produce, and a long tradition of hearty cooking. Authentic Catalonian food is honest, simple and humble. Join me to explore the history and culture of the food of Catalonia with lots of tasting along the way.

  • PESCADO A LA SAL - Whole Salt Roasted Fish with Wild Herbs
  • ARROZ DEL CAMPO - Bomba Rice Braised with Small Game, Tomato and Saffron
  • PESCADO MARISCO A LA PLANCHA CON PICADA Y ALIOLO - Selection of Fish and Shellfish Simply Grilled With Garlic, Parsley and Olive Oil
