Smile Cards
Smile Cards are a convenient way for Thrifty Foods customers to manage their grocery purchases. The Smile Card can be loaded at the checkout counter up to whichever amount a customer chooses. From then, until it's depleted or re-loaded, the Smile Card can be used during those busy shopping trips or whenever it's more convenient to "go cashless" without having to use a credit card or cheque. Many people give loaded Smile Cards to friends and family as gifts. Parents of away-from-home college students find them a handy way of ensuring their sons and daughters will use their food allowance to actually buy foodstuffs (rather than spending it on fast foods or other, less-nourishing, items).
