Tour de Rock Fundraising

Thrifty Foods is proud to support the Canadian Cancer Society and our Courtenay Store Manager, Rick Gaiga, who was selected to ride in the 2010 Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock!

Rick Gaiga has been with Thrifty Foods for 20+ years and an Auxiliary Constable with the Comox Valley R.C.M.P for the past 2 years. Read more about Rick and make a donation to this worthy cause on his fundraising page.

All Summer Long:

- Booster Juice Millstream Village & Broadmead Village, Victoria

Booster Juice supports 2010 Tour de Rock Team riders Robin Farrell and Mira Laurence. Enjoy a 'Marathon Smoothie' at either of these Booster Juice locations and partial proceeds will go to support the Tour de Rock.

- Darcy's Pub 1127 Wharf St, Victoria

Enjoy a 'Robin & Mira Summer Spinach Salad' & they will donate part of proceeds to the Tour de Rock.

September 10 - 12, 2010 - 7th Annual Dance de Rock Workshop

Florence Filberg Centre, Courtenay. Workshops available for all levels: beginners to intermediate in West Coast Swing, Night Club, ChaCha, Hustle, Two-Step, Waltz & Triple 2.

Guest instructors, DJ, Dinner Buffet, Showcases and Bald Eagle HeadShaving Challenge

Saturday September 11, 2010 - Tour de Rock Fashion Show

Annual Fashion Show to benefit Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock held at Warrant Officer's Hall in Esquimalt. Watch for further info to come.

 

Saturday, September 18 - Tour Send-Off

Join the riders as they kick off the tour! Fundraising events and a light breakfast are also scheduled. Come and cheer on the team as they begin their journey. Thrifty Foods Colwood, 7:30am - 9:00am.

Visit Darcy's Pub at 1127 Wharf St, Victoria, enjoy any Big Rock product and part proceeds will go to Tour de Rock. Darcy's will also be donating cover charges to the cause.
