About the Information We Gather

Panel Members are asked to provide certain personal information that is necessary for NRG Research Group Inc. to conduct online research studies. Your email address is used as the primary method for contacting you.

The additional information requested - name, address, shopping preferences and demographic data - is used to help select and track demographic statistics of Panel Members for specific research projects. If you are selected to receive an invitation to participate in a project, it will be sent to you by email, at which time you may either accept or decline the invitation.

Anonymous site statistics are also recorded, such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer used to help diagnose problems with servers and maintain the database. As well, a "cookie" may be placed on your computer, which saves your Customer Panel PIN and allows for a more user-friendly interface. A "cookie", by itself, cannot be used to find out the identity of any user. If you do not wish to accept "cookies", you can turn this feature off in the options menu of your browser.
